Winter Sports Registration
Students are encouraged to begin registering for the winter season. If a student-athlete played a fall sport, they must return a blue PIAA Recertification Form. This form details any changes in a medical condition since the fall season.
If a student-athlete hasn't played a winter sport, that individual must return a completed white PIAA Preparticipation Physical Form. These forms are available on the website under the REGISTRATION section. In addition to being online, these forms are available in the high school office, middle school office and athletic office.
Part of the white PIAA Pre-Participation Physical requires a physician to fill out (last page); Students may get this completed through their family physician (dated June 1, 2018 or later) or they can attend the school physicals. Physicals will be held on Tuesday, November 13 from 4:20 - 5:00 pm according to the following schedule:
4:20 - 4:35 pm Students entering grades 7 & 8
4:35 - 4:50 pm Students entering grades 9 & 10
4:50 - 5:00 pm Students entering grades 11 & 12
The first 3 pages of the PIAA Pre-Participation Physical form should be fully completed and turned into the athletic office no later than Friday, November 9 to attend the physicals. The cost for an athletic physical is $10 payable at the door.
To participate in a winter sport on the first day of the season, all paperwork and physicals must be completed and turned in by the following deadlines:
Wednesday, November 14 for high school sports
Wednesday, November 21 for junior high sports
The high school winter season begins on Friday, November 16 and the junior high winter season begins on Monday, November 26. If completed PIAA paperwork is not turned into the athletic office by the at least two days before the the start of the season, the student-athlete will miss the first day of practice. He/She may attend the practice, but won't be allowed to participate while the athletic trainers review the health history.
